Exciting News!

EXCITING news to share…..

You may remember my post from New Years Eve, about God being in control, and the lessons He continues to teach me in this “in between” season.

Ever since my job was eliminated at the City Mission, I’ve been on this wild journey of waiting on and listening to the Lord, and consistently looking for a place where I can work to use the gifts He’s given me, and to support my family.

Over 30 resumes sent out, plenty of interviews and some second and third interviews, and yet… for the last 13 weeks, I’ve been out of work and have had zero job offers.

In this season of waiting, trusting and being still in the Lord, I have learned so much!

I’ve learned that:
✅ I cannot fix thing on my own- and even when I attempted to- God shut it down real quick.
✅ God’s economy is WAY better then ours, and His promise to provide for His children is REAL.
✅ I needed to heal and forgive way more than I realized.
✅ I have to learn to give myself grace; King Jesus gives me way more of it than I have ever given myself.
✅ When I stay committed to Christ, and the call He has on my life, I cannot and will not settle for anything other than His will.

So in this season of waiting and NOT settling, I prayed that God will open ONLY the door that I need to walk through. Because if multiple doors open, it would be way too easy for my flesh to pick what I thought was best- and that never works out well for me.

My next job HAD to be His will only.

In addition to learning that God provides no matter what, I now can stand on my mountain top to tell you that our God RESTORES!

You all know that I love the Buffalo City Mission with all my heart, and I loved my work there. My time there was cut short due to no fault of my own, and I have missed it so very much.
I had the opportunity to apply and interivew for a different position at the Mission over the past week, and I am THRILLED to report that GOD OPENED THE DOOR!

Yesterday, I accepted the Manger of Food Services position at the Buffalo City Mission!

What the enemy meant for evil, God turned to good!
What the enemy attempted to steal, God has RESTORED!

This shows me that my call to work at the Mission is truly heaven sent, and He still has a need for me to be there.
This also gives me the opportunity to lead a team for the first time at the Mission, learn the operations side, and use all of my knowledge and experience in team building, food service and cost controls.

GOD IS SO GOOD!

Friday will be my first day back…. And I cannot wait!

Truly I can say…. The best is yet to come!
