THANK YOU, JESUS!
Over the last 2 days as I’ve been able to slow down and reflect over the craziness of the past 3 weeks and the physical and spiritual exhaustion is subsiding, I find myself so very thankful!
And these travels down the beautiful Gratitude Road has me not just reflecting the past 3 weeks, but the last 10 years.
I’ve gone through some really rough times. Heartbreaking, trying situations that caused me to have to dig deep down into how God truly made me, and allow my faith to lean into Him- because I 100% could NOT lean on my own understanding.
I had to trust in Him with all of my heart.
Through many of the trials, betrayals and difficult times, I assumed it was spiritual warfare due to the immense call on my life.
And it could have been.
But now, as hindsight is 20/20, I don’t believe it was all spiritual warfare- I believe that God in His divine plan had me go through it because I had to grow in strength and resilience. He knew my faith wouldn’t waver and I would stay true to what He has trusted me with, so whatever came my way I endured, stood as strong as I could and fought my way through.
This journey has brought wisdom, patience, perseverance, strength, focus, courage and of course, gratitude. 💙
It has also helped me be even keeled; for the most part I can turn from a trial straight into a blessing and not let the stress of the trial effect the goodness of the blessing- yesterday was a perfect example.
I had some stressful things happening in my real estate and personal world, and in between the phone calls and processing the issues, I was blessed beyond measure to baptize a beautiful soul at my church mid afternoon! What an amazing experience God trusted me with… smack dab in the middle of worldly drama!
I couldn’t have done that a few years ago.
So I sing with my full chest, “ALL MY LIFE YOU HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL… ALL MY LIFE YOU HAVE BEEN SO, SO GOOD! WITH EVERY BREATH THAT I AM ABLE, I WILL SING OF THE GOODNESS OF GOD!”
Thank you, my King, for trusting me with this life. I will never let you down.
And thank you to all of you who support, encourage, protect and pray for me and my family. It means more than I can ever express with mere words.
- 2 Corinthians 4:8–9: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
- James 1:2–4: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
- Romans 5:3–4: “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”
